We were all excited!
We spent tens-of-thousands of dollars on advertising to get people to buy it.
And our advertising worked!In just a few weeks Instant Scripts 1.0 was being used by copywriters and marketers all over the world.
But there was a HUGE problem…
The copywriters who bought Instant Scripts 1.0 loved it.
But… ONLY copywriters with previous copywriting experience could use the software.
Business owners with no copywriting background or experience couldn’t figure it out.
They said it was too hard to use.
Too confusing.
They said they wanted tutorials and better navigation – something we didn’t have.
So they cancelled.
We lost about 50% of our customers in the first 3 months. Ouch!
It was a mess...
Very depressing...
So I vowed to make it better, much better.
In June, I hired a brilliant new team of software developers to start from scratch with a complete redesign.
They took all the negative feedback from the people who cancelled…
And asked the people who stayed for suggestions to make it even better.
The development team worked around the clock. (You would not believe how much Starbucks they drank in the last 90 days)
